Understanding Transcription Pane in VIDIZMO
VIDIZMO allows manual upload of transcription files or automatically generating them through AI. During playback, a transcript plays alongside the media. It is searchable and users can locate those points in the media where the searched term was used. Moreover, by selecting the transcript text, viewers can also jump directly to that specific part of the media. Through transcriptions, viewers can develop a better understanding of the content and context of the media.
Concept
The Transcription Pane in VIDIZMO offers you a chronological list of closed captions against the media. These captions are linked with the point in the media where they were used/spoken. This ensures a smoother user experience with greater meaningful insights about the content, enhancing user interest and engagement.
VIDIZMO allows its users to view the closed captions uploaded with the media file in the Transcription Pane on the right side of the player. Closed captions also appear within the player and can be toggled on or off.
By using the transcription pane, users can perform a number of actions on the media file's captions.
NOTE: The transcription pane only appears if closed captions are uploaded or automatically generated for that media file.
To add a transcription file, see How to Add Closed Captions.
To enable machine generated transcriptions, see How to enable AMS Machine Generated Transcriptions in VIDIZMO.
Additionally, users can perform the following actions using the Transcription Pane:
- Manually edit the captions in the transcript.
- Delete captions.
- Download the transcript in a configured template format. To learn more, see Understanding Transcription Templates.
- Choose the language of the transcript if transcripts in multiple languages are generated or uploaded.
- Enlarge text for improved accessibility.
- Sync the transcript with the player for automatic scrolling during playback.
- Search for a term and navigate through highlighted results.
